Meet Saving Herald

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saving Herald.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Saving Heralds story is definitely one of those timing things.  In late April of 2018, Saving Heralds drummer saw a friend post on Instagram that a friend of hers had started writing music by himself again, so she messaged him and asked if he would play bass in her side project. Being that she was already in another band with Saving Heralds guitarist, it wasn’t going to really be anything too serious, just some friends getting together to play music they loved. Saving Heralds guitarist had a friend that sang and invited her to come over and jam along.  This combination ended up being something so Amazing with a chemistry that can’t be ignored.  Before we even had a name for our band we had our first gig and it we have just moved forward full force.  With with Madisyn Racine on lead vocals, Mackenzie Fortino on drums, Maxx Nunn on bass and back up vocals and Nic Lawdan on guitar, Saving Herald was formed. Now playing numerous shows a month, we are becoming more known locally with tons of very loyal fans of all ages.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
For the most part, this band has been really easy for all of us because we all share a common goal and we work together really well due to the great chemistry. The only issues have really been occasionally some of us not having our parts prepared for rehearsal and scheduling issues because we all live very different lives.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Saving Herald – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
To date our most proud moment is us playing at Revolution Live for a showcase because that has been a venue that hundreds of iconic, amazing acts have performed on, such as Led Zeppelin, Panic! At The Disco and My Chemical Romance.  If it all ended tomorrow, that in itself would make us feel so satisfied!

I think the thing that sets us apart from other bands is that we’re very interactive with the audience, we goof around on stage, and we all come from different tastes in music which makes the music that we write very diverse and people can hear the influences by even the smallest of parts.  We are so different with our own style, yet so the same which makes us “work” and people can feel that when we perform.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love that we are from Fort Lauderdale/Miami area.  It is one of those cities that everyone knows and wants to be.

The downfall would probably be our age in this city.  Being that we are only 15 and 16 years old it is hard for us to grow a fan base of our own age where our followers can come out and watch us perform live where all ages are welcome.  We wish that there were more local venues for bands of our age to play with a stage that would attract an audience and allow musicians like us to be able to show their love for music to others without having them drive an hour away for a 30-minute set…….considering that most of our fans would have to catch a ride!  We will continue to do it though, because it is what we love!
