Mary, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started with a hobby and the feeling of truly connecting with others. My process has been “baby steps” but this project has been achieved with constant learning & networking. Although I’m at an early stage, there are great things ahead.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Some struggles have been financial and time-related issues. As I have been trying to transform this hobby into a solid business project, it’s been a bit difficult to leave my regular “9-to-5” Job in order to be 100% focused on my project.
Please tell us about Foodie Fun Fair.
In general words, my goal is to specialize in event coordination. In a more detailed view, I want to be known as a food and event specialist where I can connect people through good food and great networking events. Take the social status out of social media (virtual world) and take it back to the true social gathering where people interact in a more mindful, purposeful way. Unite people through good food & gatherings to restore a better society.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success, in my mind, can be defined as being financially free and having free time so they can be both invested in positive actions. Some of the markers I look out for are passion & true love for what you do, willingness to help others in a proper way, mindful leadership & strategy builder, hard-working mindset – details that can lead you to that success that can help you build a business that can be productive even when you are out on a vacation time.
