Meet Maria Garay of MG Music Group Entertainment in Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Garay.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Maria. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hello, my name is Maria Garay, I am a bilingual-Miami born, up and coming artist in the south Florida area. I have performed in two different continents, including at a latin music festival in Guayaquil, Ecuador in front of 5,000 people and a showcase in Orlando Fashion Week, all in the year of 2018 while studying for my music business bachelor’s degree at Full Sail University.

I am a twenty-year-old musician, singer-songwriter and business owner. I have my very own experience with event management, content creation and artist development through self-driven projects with music, event coordination, and an artist development organization called 3300 in Orlando, Florida.

I have established my own LLC entertainment & publishing company called MG Group Entertainment, LLC, for my music, where I will be able to channel revenue through and continue releasing my own music, visual content, and soon in the future, throw more events where I would headline as my own artist. I would eventually like to expand and be able to tour around the U.S. along with gaining additional revenue through selling my own merchandize at these shows. You can follow me on all social media platforms at “MariaGarayMusic” and check out my content and music for yourself!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Throughout my journey of focusing on my music career and studying for my bachelor’s degree at Full Sail University, there have been countless of struggles that have arisen in certain stages throughout my years in college. From traveling for gigs and having to write music within literally a few days’ timeframes, to balancing time for my studies and music as well as developing my debut EP.

Without a doubt, it has not been easy, but you can also imagine that in the time of perfecting my first EP and independently organizing and hosting my first live event, there’s a lot that went behind the multiple factors in production to make it possible. Being one of the most complex challenges I have encountered, my event, which developed into a profitable occasion centered around the celebration for the release of my debut EP, successfully received much recognition and support from the Orlando community.

Lastly and overall, the other small but important struggles in between all of this were just as influential in helping me become the businesswoman and musician I am today, but as well as the obstacles I faced while pursuing my priority focus on my education and future by not only striving to excel in my music business classes but also beginning the process of establishing my own entertainment company.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Beginning to building the foundation of my company is something that I have strategically chosen to take my time in developing for the reason of keeping my main priority focus on finishing college. Finding myself four months later after commencing my company and being less than a month away from graduating.

I can finally begin the process of generating more awareness of my company and publicly share its main purpose, which is to be the source foundation of holdings for all revenue streams for my music and content, but also having the future goal of striving to grow into being able to provide development services and management to small and local talents of other musicians and artists who have similar ambitions.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
The role that luck has played in both my life and business is that having the type of personality I have which is one that is out-spoken and sociable and courageous in the way that it lands me in certain positions or situations that get me an opportunity or acknowledgment from someone who has over time become a very important aid in either my music or other creative projects.

Similarly, my passion in my faith in God, I believe has influenced the placement of certain obstacles that have taken me to certain positions in my life, for not only my music but for personal aspects in my life that has allowed me to create bonds with certain individuals that has really impacted my journey as an artist and performer.
