Meet Lynne Goldberg of Boca Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynne Goldberg.

Lynne, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey began in NYC, Manhattan to be exact where I was born and raised. Growing up in NYC and working in advertising, theatre, film and television made adjusting to a Florida lifestyle challenging. I loved fast pace living, Broadway shows, Fifth Avenue shopping, trendy restaurants and walking.

Shortly after, I settled in to Florida living, I decided if I was going to be happy I would need a new creative outlet.

In 1999, shortly after producing my own children’s Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, I opened Boca Entertainment.

My goal was to find the best talent in South Florida and booked them for theme events but not before putting my own creative spin on the job. Depending on the event theme and type of celebration, I would customize every act to fit the theme.

It was not long before clients began asking me for planning and design advice. Within one year, Boca Entertainment was a full service, turn key, one stop planning company and I was officially an event planner.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the main challenges in being an event planner, is the inability to control everything personally. Working with the best vendors imaginable helps but in the end a great event planner has to depend on others expertise to do their job.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Boca Entertainment – what should we know?
As a company, I pride myself on the work itself and the personal service we provide.

It is important to me as the founder that everyone associated with Boca Entertainment brings their best and its there for our clients and our vendors.

I believe demonstrating kindness and integrity have been key to the success of my business. It is easy to get burned out in this business so advocating a positive work environment is important to me.

Boca Entertainment provides turn key event planning services for all events, including but not limited to wedding planning, fundraisers, corporate events, birthdays anniversaries, Coming of Age parties such as Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16’s, house openings, retirement parties, wedding and baby showers and children parties.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I attribute my success to the fact I actually enjoy what I do and am constantly looking for new ideas and ways to reinvent old ones.

As an event planner, I look to offer something different to my clients, after taking the time to understand what my clients wants.

I always ask my clients what they envision and care most about… by listening to their answers, I am able to combine their personal tastes with my expertise assuring me happy clients, personalized events and reasons to challenge myself creatively.
