Lourdes, please share your story with us.
In a mission to better serve parents and simplify parenthood, came the birth of Tutti Bambini. We are continuously evolving and expanding our services; bringing education to families with our classes and services, they need to save time, save money and raise healthy, happy families. Tutti Bambini is my vision and creation. I am a daughter of Cuban immigrants. I grew up working alongside my parents and siblings establishing one of the most recognizable healthcare brands in the South Florida community.
I am definitely a product of witnessing and partaking in hard work, devotion, excellence and loyalty.
Ten years after having my first daughter, I found myself expecting a second child. Much had evolved in my life between my two pregnancies – I had greater demands as a mother, a wife, and as an executive in our family business. Eventually confined to bedrest due to pregnancy complications, I began looking to eliminate as much of the stress and time-consuming guesswork as I could to prepare myself for the arrival of my baby. I presumed I would easily find a company that would provide me with the products and services I needed. I was amazed that none existed.
The rest is history. This was not only the birth of my healthy baby girl – a 34-week-old preemie at that – but it was also the birth of Tutti Bambini. Today, Tutti Bambini is moving its corporate offices to Coral Gables and solely dedicated to education and services.
The core brand, Tutti Bambini’s Maternity & Newborn, division provides the services and education parents need to raise healthy families. We strive to live up to their motto for new and expectant parents every day – “Everything Baby, Total Peace of Mind.”
In today’s fast-paced, time-sensitive world, we understand that parents want to find what they need and get it to their homes as quickly as possible – whether it is a product, service or information. At Tutti Bambini Maternity & Newborn division, clients find the best baby and maternity gear and products from the most trusted brands in the market as we have partnered with Genius Jones in Midtown for the most up-to-date information on product developments and recalls. Tutti Bambini’s educational classes on all areas of conception, delivery, child development and child safety and extensive concierge services are still growing.
We aim to add services and classes that our clients ask for or feel would be an asset to new and expectant parents.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been difficult for the community to understand just how much Tutti Bambini offers are far as services.
Other than that, I found that we are in the service industry, not retail.
That is why I decided to close the actual storefront and concentrate strictly on our classes and services.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Tutti Bambini – what should we know?
Tutti Bambini is not only the only maternity concierge company in Miami, but the only one where the staff is certified and trained to help our clients to the fullest. We specialize in services such as baby gear preparation, nursery design, personal shopping, nursery and home organization, child care, night nurses, nutrition, sleep training, preparing for multiples, Child Passenger safety, baby registry, and more. Our classes include Newborn Prep, Lactation, CPR certification, Sleep Training, Infant Massage, Preparing for Multiples, Sibling Prep Class, and more.
We are best known for our education and white glove concierge services. We thrive in customer service. We help international families in everything from housing to setting up for baby’s arrival.
I am proud that Tutti Bambini has grown into a reputable brand that is well known throughout the baby industry mostly for helping and educating families to be well prepared for their baby’s arrival.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I must say that my husband, Otto Vega, MD, has been a huge supporter of all my ideas in establishing Tutti Bambini, as well as my two beautiful girls. I have also had a huge support from Miami OB-GYN especially Dr. Jorge Mendia, and Dr. Carlos Garcia who when I presented the idea of the classes and services immediately believed in it and have been an essential part at getting families to understand everything we offer.
As far as mentors, my parents taught me well since a very early age to work hard and always push forward in what you believe in, and that is exactly what I continue to do.
This coming year, Tutti Bambini has a lot of new surprises for the community and we can’t wait to share!
