Leo, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Converged Services was founded in 1997 at our headquarters in Fort Lauderdale. As a national firm with dedicated consultants, we partner with communities, managers, and building owners in the residential, commercial, healthcare and retail industries to address the challenges they face today:

• Ongoing shifts in provider landscape
• Pressures to keep costs low
• Increasing complexity of multi-year agreements

Consult • Analyzing, advising, negotiating and optimizing all telecommunication agreements for video, broadband, voice, and security solutions.

Connect • Generating new revenue streams and cost savings for our clients and improve communication solutions and connectivity for their clients.

Control • Reducing administrative time and cost and increasing resident satisfaction with our proven, integrated Property Management Lifestyle Software.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting Converged Services in my garage over 20 years ago, our goal was to provide cost-savings and continual revenue to our clients, but we only had one provider in the market. We were dealing with one phone company in a market – which only provided phone services and not video and internet like what is today. Over the years, we have expanded and changed the market to include multiple providers, therefore leveraging the demand. We have changed the market by constantly innovating.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Converged Services story. Tell us more about the business.
From day one, we’ve been hands-on problem solvers for our clients, with a personal commitment to their long-term success. Twenty years later, those same principles remain the basis for everything we do. The longevity of our company and the team we have put together over the years as we continue to grow enables this success.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We see broadband driving our core business, rather than a video dominated marketplace. Video has become an afterthought, as there are other sources to receive video content, such as through Amazon, Netflix, or YouTube. However, you can not receive video content without having internet connectivity. It is all about the individual – how they want to watch, when they want to watch, where they want to watch is the driving force behind this shift to broadband.
