Meet Laure Carter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laure Carter.

Laure, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In my mid-forties, I transitioned into peri-menopause and my body changed, my health changed. One of the symptoms I experienced was debilitating digestive issues, gas, bloating, constipation and burning indigestion. As the digestive symptoms got worse, I started gaining weight, especially fat around my belly. I gained 25 lbs. I felt disconnected, not just with my body but with life, I didn’t enjoy life.

After relentlessly seeking the solution to my issues, I came about Ayurvedic Medicine and it completely changed the way I approached my health. When I sought out to find a solution to my issue and lose weight and found a lot of generic and misleading information that didn’t truly help me gain the results I desperately needed.

One day I stumbled on an online Ayurvedic cooking class that focused on improving digestion. And as soon as I started to do the recipes, my digestive issues lessened. I was intrigued. I was familiar with Ayurveda but I wanted to know more. Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest system of natural and holistic healthcare. What I discovered was, for me, my turning point insight. I discovered that the root cause of brain fog, lack of motivation and weight gain is a buildup of toxins and impurities due to faulty digestion caused by food habits and lifestyle choices.

I later started to improve my digestion, correct my lifestyle habits, and manage my stress. Slowly but sustainably, I was able to shed 17 pounds of extra weight. I no longer experienced painful bloating and indigestion. And, the menopausal symptoms greatly lessened and ultimately disappeared. This experience motivated me to share the mindset and strategies I applied in my life with other women.

Has it been a smooth road?
I went back to school to study Ayurvedic Medicine in depth. Studying this ancient art and science of healing is challenging. The journey itself is not challenging with the right mentor and coach and I had a wonderful Ayurvedic Practitioner who taught at my school.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
