Today we’d like to introduce you to Klara Chavarria.
Klara Chavarría Kepfer is an Artist and Designer that grew up in Guatemala City in a family of artists and teachers and started studying academic painting with a renowned artist and professor when she was only eight years old. In 1993, she relocated to the United States as a student and received a BFA from Kansas State University concentrating in Design, Visual Arts and Painting.
Her work is collected and displayed in hundreds of National and International private and corporate collections and in numerous venues with ongoing projects and exhibitions. After working in the Design and Marketing fields and having her own business in these areas for several years, Klara decided to abandon her corporate life and pursue her art career & art practice professionally and full time.
Her art career started over 15 years ago in the Midwest, with studios in Chicago, IL & Cincinnati, OH, and presently in Miami, FL, where she currently works and resides, with her private and permanent studio and practice for 13 years in Coral Gables, FL.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been challenges and bumps along the way, as life is, but mostly the biggest challenge has been myself and not listening to any limitations we create within ourselves, not quitting, getting back up, as a full-time artist and entrepreneur.

Klara Chavarria is an internationally collected and acclaimed artist & designer recognized for her abstract, philosophical, spiritual and meaningful concepts. Her paintings incorporate figurative and abstract elements transcending into creating an innovative and emotionally filled body of work. I am a full-time professional artist and entrepreneur with an Art Studio & Practice in Coral Gables, FL.
Specializing in original paintings, limited edition prints, commissioned paintings, art consulting, installations, framing and shipping. Proud to have been trusted, acquired and collected by hundreds of International collectors and in business for over 15 years.
What sets my studio & practice apart is the respect and honesty I give to my work, clients and collectors and how much I appreciate all the appreciation given by all over the years. I always strive to be honest and authentic in all my work, what I create and we do it all with authenticity, passion and quality.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Planning to keep evolving personally, professional and mostly always evolving the body of work and creating more honest and authentic work. We are excited to be working on new projects for the artwork, organizing and archiving all, and working on a new book, other than always creating new work and love sharing it with all.
