Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Espinoza.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always liked fashion. One thing about me is that I always liked to dress up and feel good. There have been times where I have changed 3 and 4 times before I leave my house because I wouldn’t like how my outfit would look like. In high school, I would coordinate my looks for the week making sure that I wouldn’t wear the same thing 2 days in a row (LOL). A couple of years ago I styled a good friend for his photo shoot and it turned out to be a success. And that’s when I thought to myself to take styling more serious and possibly into a legit business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I remember reaching out to boutiques and stores to work together and not even getting a response in return. I have had people tell me I have no style or fashion sense, that I always do the same thing, and go as far as to question my ability as a stylist. There’s been times that I see an item or a specific piece that can turn an outfit into the next level and turns out I can’t afford it or I don’t have access to it. All these things lead me to work harder
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the @iamrawyalty story. Tell us more about the business.
I am an up and coming men’s wardrobe stylist. My specialty is working with men and helping them feel their best by looking their best clothing wise. I do wardrobe styling and personal shopping. What sets me apart from other stylists is besides working with men only, is that I like to work with the client and enhance their personal style. I like to show them how some wardrobe works for them and still making sure they stay true to themselves.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Honestly, I don’t think luck has played a role. We like to believe that we are all lucky but it’s all about how hard you work and how bad you want to achieve your goals and dreams. But hopefully, luck is on my side LOL.
