Meet Kassie Meiler of Goat Social Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kassie Meiler.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kassie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always been interested in the arts but also in technology and advertising as well. In undergrad, at Florida State University I majored in Theatre at the School of Fine Arts, but I also found a passion for advertising with my minor in communications. My focus in theatre was always choreography and I learned my love for creating and working with others carried over into the communications world so well. Immediately after graduation, I was freelancing social media management and online advertising for a few companies, and I decided to turn this side job into a career.

While freelancing, I learned there is such a demand for social media services, especially for small and locally owned businesses, which is why I created my company Goat Social Media. I believe no matter how big or how small, social media can give each business an opportunity to reach out to their ideal customer. While building my company, Goat Social Media, I continued my education at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, and in December 2019, I graduated with my Master of Arts in Mass Communications with a focus in social media. I am also social media certified through the HubSpot Academy.

Some of my clients include a Marriott brand hotel, a chiropractor, a plastic surgeon, an NYC theatre company, a makeup line, an insurance company, a travel agency, and more! In my free time, I still choreograph locally for various theatres and playhouses in South Florida.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I always say anything worthwhile is worth the struggle. School doesn’t teach you how to run your own business, how to do taxes, and how to manage all these roles a business takes by yourself. I learned a lot by trial and error and following other’s advice.

Goat Social Media – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Goat Social Media strives to be the ‘greatest of all time’ in social media management for your company. My company differs from large social media agencies because I get to know your company inside and out and specialize with a personalized approach. This includes creating content, understanding your brand, and presenting it to the public. I am most proud that I create custom packages for each and every business that approaches me. I am not an agency that has a one-size-fits-all approach. Every strategy is custom and I pour my heart and passion into each company as if it were my own.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for myself is being proud of where I am and still setting goals to continue improving. I do not believe in achieving “success” and being comfortable. I think constantly setting and evaluating new goals is important to continue to be successful.

Success for my company can be defined by the satisfaction of my clients and the ability to grow and take on more clients.
