Today we’d like to introduce you to K B.
Hi K B, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I came to the conclusion I wanted to be an entrepreneur at the age of 16 when I got my first job. The freedom of doing what you want, when you want, and how you want always been a luxury to me. Entrepreneurship is not easy at all, but I’m willing to deal with everything that comes with it. Consistency is my main focus with my business(es). I have great, innovating ideas and want to make sure they are executed properly.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My journey has not been smooth, but I’m grateful. I have an apparel line and finding vendors and marketing alone is so stressful! My motto for all of my businesses and brands is QUALITY. I don’t do things for the motivation of money, I do it because I love it. I also provide a hair coloring service and making sure my clients are satisfied every single time they leave my chair even with indecisiveness is a struggle as well. I just pray for guidance and clarity.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialized in hair coloring. Natural hair, locs, extensions and wigs, I color it all. I am most proud of every project I’ve done. I’m mainly known for my highlights and bright, bold colors. I have had clients insecure about their skin tone and bright hair, but for some reason they take that risk with me and I’m appreciative! I also specialized in fashion, having my own apparel line. I’m proud that I have got thus far without giving up and within a time span of two years. I love being a brand ambassador as well for any product from home to lifestyle to fitness to beauty. I get my full use out of any product I invest myself in and market it to others if I like it. My influence is heavy in different ways so it benefits me and business partners. My designs are unique. I’m different from others because I’m me. Lol. I put effort into everything I do, not discrediting others, but my artistry and creativity speaks for itself.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
YouTube! Helps me a lot. It’s so much visual knowledge on there you can almost pick up any skill or hobby. Instagram and Twitter are my favorite apps. Instagram is so diverse and Twitter is exclusive with the best jokes. Lol. DCMWG podcast gets me through some of my longer days, just thinking how she went from going viral on the internet to having her own platform is inspiring. I read daily devotions and other motivational mantras to ensure I’m on the right path.
