Justin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Just a kid from Cincinnati, Ohio, who got his bachelors degree and moved to South Florida to figure it out.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s a struggle in every venture. No losses, only lessons. We can either grow or fold from it. No family, new state, new city, and not knowing anyone in the area can be a hurdle. However, it only made my network stronger!
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a Multimedia personality and entertainer (host, artist, actor, writer, and film director). I actually hate saying all those things, I think it’s way too much lol. That’s why I go by JBellTheArtist, they will figure out the rest of the things I do in time.
I always had a passion for entertainment so I chose a career with radio and television. Ive interviewed some of the biggest stars and travelled to the BET Awards multiple years. Everytime I’m in front of the camera or on the microphone my primary focus is to create memorable moments! I want you to remember who I am when you see me work. I believe what sets me apart is my character and my uniqueness. One day you may catch me hosting a big party, the next day I may be working on a film, and the day after that I may be recording a new song or interviewIng someone on a TV show.
I thank God for giving me these talents and opportunities to even be in the position that I am. I want to encourage all my creatives to chase their dreams, never give up, plan, and pursue with purpose. I know you hear that all the time and it sounds corny but it’s real talk! A lot of the times the only thing that separates you from what you want is consistency. As long as your growing with it, you’ll be fine. I say that to say this, I’m defiantly not where I want to be, but I’m going to get there…..soon. Come with me!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I recommend building your network and making it your net worth. Communication is big! I think starting here and gaining experience is always good. However I always challenge people to travel and bring their talents to other markets.
