Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Carlos Perdomo and Mike Risco.
The Spot Barbershop was originally founded in 2001 by Freddy Perdomo in Little Havana, Miami. It was a small shop with just a few chairs but always filled with energy. Freddy had that shop for over a decade until his brother, Juan Carlos “JC” Perdomo joined his brother in expanding the Brand, The Spot. Along with Diana Hernandez, designer of the shops and partner, they began to design larger upscale shops but still maintaining the classic barbershop feeling and energy and great master barbers changing lives, The Spot is a place where all men can come in, enjoy a cafecito while they wait and feel comfortable getting groomed but someone they can trust in a great environment.. With 8 locations currently open and 4 more under construction in prime locations in Miami, the Spot Barbershop aims to be a staple in Miami and soon, all over the country.
Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. To expand any business is difficult. Especially trying to build large up-scale barbershops when most people just want to go in and out with their haircuts. We wanted to provide more of an experience. So the struggle to find locations and complete the construction buildouts with limited budgets was a huge challenge at the beginning. Now with great investors for our locations we are expanding and find the challenges growing in different aspects. More locations equal more barbers and clients which is great but also challenging to keep up with but we are doing a great job advancing.

The Spot is an upscale barbershop where a man can enjoy a cocktail and some good music while he gets a fresh haircut and a hot towel shave. We aim to provide an experience while our barbers are the best in town! We are proud to be a staple in our community to our clients but also the barbers we employ. We pride ourselves in providing growth within our company. One of our barbers already owns his own location and we pride ourselves in things like that. We are set apart the moment you enter any of our locations from the design to the atmosphere we provide.

OUR CIY IS THE GREATEST CITY ON EARTH!!!! The people are what makes us special. The diversity. The growth. The food and the palm trees!
