Meet Jessyca Perez of Events by Jess in Pembroke Pines

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessyca Perez.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Graduate from FIU with a double major in Marketing and Economics. Worked for the corporate world successfully earning many company awards, trips and bonuses. Ranked at the top of the company for many years and then decided to pursue my dream. A dream that has come true with the support of my family and friends. I love to make people’s ideas a reality and work hard to create something special and personalized. The best part of being a planner is when my clients feel like family.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Your first year of running any business is always a struggle. Not sure when your next event is going to come in or making sure you are making at least your minimum to get by that month. Having a business is never a smooth road but always a rewarding one.

Once established, there are always struggles as well, dealing with difficult clients, emergency situations during events, and disgruntled families.

Events by Jess – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I have an event and wedding planning company where we specialize in social and corporate events. We are known for making events personalized and creating our client’s visions. As a company, we are proud to say that our clients keep coming back to us after their first events. What sets us apart is definitely the fact that we ensure we understand our client’s visions and work hard to really create what they see.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Winning The Knot and Wedding Wire’s annual awards. Also, being featured on our local TV network, NBC 6 in the Mix for a segment.
