Jessica, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Born in New York and raised in Miami by Latin parents that we’re entertainers. “I love all aspects of the music business both in front and behind the scenes”.
Jessi is a bilingual self-made artist and an entrepreneur in the music business that owns a label and music production company. Where she mentors, showcases and inspires up and coming artists with the knowledge she has acquired as grassroots recording artists, but also with her past experiences as a manager, booking agent, talent agent, entertainment producer and event coordinator. A huge pay it forward focuses for Jessi is empowering women in the industry, sharing know-how tips via hands workshops with artists and teaching young talent to develop their voices and performance skills for auditions and artist development. The company creates entertainment concepts and events and music production for films and TV.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not Always, but that makes you stronger and also gives you the tools that are valuable for your career. You learn from experiences, to reinvent the wheel, be persistent, work hard and never give up.
Please tell us about your business.
We have gone through several phases and now come to the place where we want to focus on music production for film and TV, entertainment concepts that showcase periods or up and coming artists. We are very proud of the artists we developed and promoted to festivals and events when we were doing bookings at one time. What sets us apart now is that we have access to so many talented performers and resources for production, placement and networking.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Watching my parents perform from behind a dressing room door and being on the road with them.
