Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jermaine George . Jermaine was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Chef Chitarra Monroe.
Jermaine , can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In brief, I never taught I would be a part of an industry that serves people the way the financial service industry serves people. to be honest I never knew that the industry existed. Do what your passionate about because by doing what your passionate about is where you experience inner peace and happiness, and it doesn’t feel like a job or chore is what I was told. truthfully speaking I didn’t really know what I was really passionate about I just wanted a high paying career 6 figures preferably that required the least number of years of schooling. Me and school weren’t the best of friends. I was looking for something I can get started with right away making good money because that’s what really mattered to me, I was only thinking about me. The impactful concept of serving didn’t dawn on me until I got into the industry the number of lives I can change. I always had a big heart and loved helping others when I could because the way it made me feel after helping them. Receiving a sincere thank you so much was always heartfelt to me. Being introduce to this opportunity was little different it wasn’t the typical line of work I was looking for. I was in high school I believe my last year I was 18 or 19 years old when a couple of my friends from school invited me to a business opportunity. they explain briefly is to exactly what the opportunity consists of I didn’t fully understand, and I didn’t think or know exactly what questions to ask at the time all I remember is a bunch of motivation speaking, flashing lights, big screens, well professionally dress people, and people being recognized I didn’t understand what they were recognized for, the ceremony was ok even though I didn’t fully understand. at the end of the event, I was asked how I liked the event and that I would need to make a payment to get started. what job has you pay to work. immediately I thought it was a scam told the person I didn’t have the money and left. I wasn’t going to invest my money into something I didn’t fully understand. I didn’t have the right mindset of a business owner at the time that in order to start a business you needed funding. Also, didn’t have the mindset of how that business was ran and what the nature of the business was exactly. lucky me I was granted two more opportunities with the same company the second time I sort of understood what was going on, but I allowed fear to seep in and it detour me away from the very thing that could possibly change my life I had to talk and attempt to recruit a great number of people and set appointments up. also had to give speeches after every promotion. I was afraid of public speaking and having to speak on things I knew so little about. I still am struggling with it, but I am working on becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable. What was required of me was very uncomfortable for me. So, I decided to do what was very easy to do, I found myself walking away once again leaving me in a gloom state of being wondering what I was going to do with my life felt like I wasted my time. 2019 is when I discovered and really wanted to get into entrepreneurship, I began to hate working for a boss I wanted to become a boss and create my own schedule, the idea of having flexibility, time freedom, and the ability to create my own paycheck is what really intrigued me. I began looking into businesses like day trading, real estate, affiliate marketing, drop shipping, clothing business, amazon FBA, etc. I found myself going in circles trying to focus on multiple things at one time which resulted in me getting nowhere. The third time around was actually kind of interesting. While working for uber driving around doing gig work. I began doing research. I started looking into careers that didn’t require many years in school to get started and that would make me really good money. I got tired of abusing my car and spending so much money on repairs and Maintenace I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere. A career and a couple side businesses were my intentions. Driving around for uber I would get so many signs of the very company I was avoiding and left in the past. It was as if it was everywhere haunting me. I would feel a strong conviction and took it as A clear indication that I should give it a chance because at the time I wasn’t getting anywhere, and nothing was working out I didn’t really have anything to lose. I needed to get into something quick and make some good money so I can enjoy life and live. So, I decide to look into gold coast schools which was one of the first things that came to mind, and the options presented was insurance agent, real estate agent, mortgage loan officer I obviously went with the insurance because all the signs I was getting. I did consider becoming a real estate agent and mortgage loan officer which all were great options. but something was appointing me to insurance. so, I went with the insurance option and decided I’m going to build an insurance agency. fast forward, I didn’t get a chance to go thru the schooling process for the insurance at gold coast school I ended up meeting someone that works within the very company I would get signs from and left two times. I was doing gig work driving one day and got a project to assist someone with some heavy furniture it was actually a large fish tank that needed to be transported out of a Highrise condo into a house for someone. I had a couple guys help me. the guy my age it was his condo him and a friend of his. Moving this fish tank was a very difficult task to do. we began the transporting process everyone using their heads to get the fish tank out the condo into the truck. Communicating building somewhat a comradery throughout the process of moving. After we finally got the tank in the truck, I had a brief conversation me and the guy around my age about the type of work we both do, I got curious about his line of work initially because I saw he had a nice condo and everything. I asked him what he does for a living he told me he has he own insurance agency I mentioned I’m actually looking to get into insurance aside from doing uber and the gig work at the time. He said his company is expanding in the us and is looking for individuals who’s looking for a full-time career or something part time. I didn’t know it was the same company at first until after. I asked how I can get started? he stated, “I got you” and we exchanged phone numbers, and it went from there. So, I took the third time, me meeting him and having that brief conversation about the insurance business as a sign this is for the best and took the opportunity once more and devoted my time into studying and obtaining the necessary licensing to start a business in the financial service industry. I’ve been a part of the industry for about a year and some months beginning august 2021. excluding the two times prior reason being is because the first time was for a day and the second time wasn’t that long either, I actually took the class to get licensed and failed it and never took it again. I went to a convention they had going on in North Carolina called Any Young’s million-dollar weekend. It was actually a good time and a great experience but immediately after convention I left because of what was required of me. Today, I’m no longer with that company I’m now with a new company I stayed the course I didn’t give up I am still working on building my business getting things together.

My relationship with chef Chee I have nothing but great things to say the first time we spoke we clicked great conversation. we connected really well our first conversation I think was about a particular food I was in the mood for, and she mention she can make it she said she was a legitimate Chef she has her own successful catering business, and she can make a variety of delicious foods. She’s a hard worker and she takes her time with her craft an making sure her creations are to liking. I believe anybody would enjoy her service and company. just overall an amazing person and amazing at what she does. nothing but great things to say.
