Ivan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started Preemo in my kitchen in February of 2009, shortly after the US had declared a recession. There was a shortage of quality IT Support companies, and I recognized the opportunity to provide exceptional service to corporate clients. We started in a shared space, then moved to a retail location, and eventually evolved into our current offices in Pinecrest, FL. Preemo has 15 full-time engineers, all based in Miami, and focuses on provided IT Support to professional services companies (law firms, medical offices, financial services companies) and also manufacturing and distribution. We’re experts in all aspects of infrastructure management, network security, business continuity, and provide the best day-to-day help desk support in town.
Has it been a smooth road?
Our most significant struggle has been keeping up with the pace of the business and implementing processes to accommodate our rapid growth. We’re seeing 20-30% year over year growth, and our primary focus is preserving the quality of service while responding to the demand for our services in the market. We’ve been fortunate to assemble a world-class team of technology professionals -including system administrators, cyber security experts, help desk technicians, project managers, and technical account managers. Making our teamwork in concert together is always a difficult, but excited task for me as an owner, but also the most gratifying one when the system works according to our plan.

Miami is the template for a culture melting pot, with a range of ethnicity, languages, cuisines, and other cultural elements. You can move to different parts of town, and feel like you’re in another country. Miami gets a lot of flack for being sprawl and wide, but if you know how to use our transportation, it actually is very organized.
