Today we’d like to introduce you to Helen Logan.
Hi Helen, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started modeling when I was just sixteen years old. It all happened in a total accident. I originally went with a friend for their shoot, the photographer liked my outfit and asked me to step in and do my own shoot. It was so much fun. But I remember being so terrified. I was shaking.
When I got the photos back I couldn’t believe it! It was me! And I looked good! Haha. I started up again in 2019 at a casting for Philly fashion week. It was my first ever runway casting, which I taught myself how to do by myself. I was the first person to cast and the first person to receive a “congratulations, you’re in”. And I never stopped since.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It had it’s ups and downs. A lot of rejection and rejection and rejection, but eventually I got a yes. I also found it hard starting out because I didn’t have the confidence that I do now. Modeling has helped me realize my potential in much more than just posing and runway shows.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a signed model in Philadelphia. Constantly pushing for more. I’m known for my photos and runway walk. I’m most proud of a video I shot for “low cut Connie” called “Charyse”.
Rolling Stones ended up writing an article about it the same day it was released. It was very cool to see my name in a rolling stones article! What sets me apart from others is probably my shaved eyebrows and forehead scar.
Individuality is key!
