Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg The GOAT.
Miami Rapper, Greg The GOAT is 21 years old and has dropped the song of the summer with Yung Bans & WinTheFutur, starting out in Davenport FL, started rapping on the side while being a high school jock.
I started getting more and more recognition as both my first single “B.B.W” and a Yung Bans assisted single “Bonkers!” swept radio waves and playlist placements. When I first heard I was on the radio, I was like 19 boutta go on 20 and my friend from school just came up to me and was like “Dude, you were on the radio” then, I started flipping cuz that means anyone can do this, I started popping on Insta after the radio play and now, I’m just trying to learn my fanbase and what they want and who they want me to work with. It doesn’t stop at A Yung Bans collaboration, it stops when I’ve made a positive impact on the people.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yeah, my team got hit with a copyright infringement case BUT it’s all good now, had to legally change my yardage name from “Third Leg Greg” to “Greg The GOAT” but hey, the fans like it more and it’s easier to market so, I guess I won in the end, lol. Also, “Bonkers!” is my most-streamed song of all time and my top song on every platform. Like damn, I didn’t know they’d like an old sample that much so now, I gotta find a way to repeat it and make it better. Hopefully, I can do that on my next full-length project.
BROKEN FOREVER – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
BROKEN FOREVER is a movement. BF has three members so far, Greg The GOAT, Herc++, and it’s founder Groovy Mar$. It’s a lifestyle, it’s to represent connection with the lost. People who lost faith in themselves. BROKEN FOREVER simply means that you are not understood by others and they will never understand you, and when you try to explain yourself, they ignore it or tell you “you’re overthinking” but the OVERALL message of BROKEN FOREVER is to be happy, cause there is always sun after the rain. we specialize in giving people perspective on things they might not know a lot about, or something they know all about, which makes them feel like they are not alone.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success by the impact that you’ve made in your community and have the people view you in a positive matter. Anyone can have 10 cars and 10 racks and 10 hoes, but the successful people are the ones who don’t blow all their money on that but hey, that’s on you, lol. Climbing higher on the food chain is what you wanna do industry-wise, but life-wise as long as you’re doing what you wanna do then boom, that’s a success. I’m looking out for rappers that are bigger than me right now, just learning from their mistakes and trying to stay focused, definitely trying to stay out of jail because it seems like every rapper loves that place, lol.
