Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerardo Escudero Samara.
Hi Gerardo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have grown in Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Lisbon, Chicago, Miami, Bolivia, & Panama. Everything started when I was five years old. I remember one time in San Jose, Costa Rica after watching Star Wars in the movie theater, my parents asked me what did I wanted to do when I grow up, and my answer was: ‘’I want to build a spaceship and explore the universe. How can I achieve that?’’ And they replied: ‘’You would need to help a million people, and then it will take you five years to build that’’, and I asked them how could I achieve that, and they told me: ‘’You would have to be the best in whatever you choose to do’’. Since then, I have founded 7 Startups, I have become one of the most globally awarded young entrepreneurs with 25 Global Awards by Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Queen Elizabeth II, Cambridge University, Universita di Trieste, the International Franchise Association, the U.S. Department of State (3 times), GEB, amongst others. I have become a TEDx Speaker, I have written and published 16 books, and I have launched my own courses.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Well, the first challenge for me was to learn how to walk, I felt the need to stand in my two feet and reach to destinations step by step. Then, I realized that the key to achieve anything in life was to Fail-Forward, to determine what to is desired, to calculate what is needed to do to achieve that and to execute by taking action.
Since I was born, every 3-5 years I’ve moved to other countries and I had to become resilient to adapt over time to changes in terms of language, culture, friends, homes, schools, weather, ways. . . when I turned 17 years old I continued to travel and lived in other countries to achieve my dreams.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I try to never talk about me and let my achievements and records do the job. I have worked and dreamt about what I’ve been achieving. I want to start by saying that I am still in progress and my aspirations represent my mind,
Right now, I am establishing my bars and restaurants in Panama and Miami, I am providing consultancy to companies in Latin America and I am happy to announce that I am launching my Watches Company with my brand that are being sold in Europe and the U.S.
As an author, I am working with my team to continue to impact people in all the countries that my books are, I have already reached all the continents and I want to impact millions of people.
As a speaker and coach, I am doing motivational conferences in Central America, Mexico, and Italy, and I am launching three courses about entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, and mindfulness.
What’s next?
In five years, I will establish my bars and restaurants in five countries, I will have written and published 40 books, I will achieve 30 Global Awards, and I will help 1 million people.
