Meet Francesca Marcos, owner of FRSA Club – Minimalist Clothing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesca Marcos.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
“Keep it real. Keep it simple.” A phrase I am always reminding myself of, and the reason why FRSA Club started. I am the type of girl who used to steal her boyfriend’s & dad’s clothing, chop it, and then wear it. It was the most comfortable clothes and it made me feel cool.

My parents have always been in the fashion & design industry. One day, they came to me with the idea to start my own clothing brand and this was when FRSA came into reality. If I was going to create something, it had to be real, something I believed in and that was consistent with my ethics. Something that people could wear on a daily basis, as well as on the weekends to go out. Something authentic and minimal that everyone could style as they wanted to, and -more importantly- something that will allow their sparkle to come out as they wear it. I want people to not only wear my clothes but to also highlight their own personality and character when wearing it.

I definitely had no idea of how it worked, to have a business, a brand, and something to offer to the public that actually worked. But, since my main goal was to be real and give something I use on my every day, I didn’t give it too much thought and just did it!

FRSA Club is also a conscious brand. Our workers are paid fairly; they work under a time-hour schedule that is consistent with the most robust laws. The materials we use are 100% cotton and recyclable (tags.) That is also a part of me, and I want to lead a company that is real and consistent with what I believe in: our planet.

Our products are totally made with love and effort, for you to enjoy and love them as much as we do. Nonetheless, our most important goal is to always make you feel comfortable with your own style!

Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all! I believe that great things take time, and nothing that is worth having will come easy.

My mom and I started everything from scratch. We go through every detail and if something doesn’t look how we want, we start all the process again until it reaches our expectations. Also, I did all the website by myself which I had no idea how to, and struggled a lot, but I gave it a try and started. In the end, it came out amazing and simple, just how I wanted it. My belief is that in life, everything is like a roller coaster, there are ups and downs, and I can say I have enjoyed every part of it. The downs always teaches me something, and the ups just get me higher!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with FRSA CLUB – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
FRSA is a minimalist clothing brand, made in Venezuela with lots of love. We do basics for every day, but with a minimal design to give it style. Very simple, clean, monochromatic clothes that you can wear however you want to, whenever you want to, it just depends on how you style it! Collections vary from t-shirts to joggers, shorts, backpacks, dresses, and many more! It’s a variety of items that can be worn in different occasions. I would say that we are known for our simplicity and lifestyle. Also, our fabrics are the softest & comfiest (100% cotton.) I am proud of how it has grown in such an organic way. We have work a lot for it, and seeing how it improves and the feedback we get is so rewarding. I am proud of creating something that people identify themselves with, and feel empowered or free somehow. What makes us different is our way of really focusing on simplicity and being comfortable rather than “fashionable” or “trendy.” We just create what we think will make you feel the best from the inside out, and not by wearing uncomfortable clothes that everybody has.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the beach, but I also love the city, so I need to live in a place that offers both of them. Miami is a very touristic city and I love that I can get to meet people from different countries. Last but not least, there are a lot of opportunities here for every field I like and wish to grow. It is a place that makes me feel at home. The only thing I don’t like about Miami is the distances and traffic, everything is so far and crowded that the hours of the day are not enough! But besides that, I am beyond grateful for everything I have here & now.
