Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia and Mary Tidy-Coyle.
Three years ago, Felicia was up late one night, in a little South Florida town called Greenacres – cruising through Netflix.
Being an animal lover, she stumbled across a documentary called Blackfish, she thought it was just a documentary about orca whales. Little did she know that after watching the film, her whole outlook on the world would change. She felt society had steered her wrong her whole life, leading us all to believe that animals are here for our entertainment and appetite.
Never acknowledging that they are sentient being, with complex relationships, emotions and have a desire to live their lives. She shared this film with her wife, Mary. Together they began watching more and researching. Through films like Earthlings, Forks Over Knives and Cowspiracy they both realized the path to true compassion, well-being and sustainability are through veganism.
After years of promoting veganism to friends, family – anyone who would listen, they decided to take their advocacy to the next level, thus launching Vegan Wives on social media. Through Vegan Wives they are branded as influencers, spreading awareness.
On Vegan Wives’ Instagram account and YouTube channel, they feature homemade comfort food recipes- which Mary has been perfecting for years, the optimal health benefits of a plant-based diet, and the positive environmental impact veganism leads to. However, above all of this – the Vegan Wives are animal advocates, for ALL animals, not just the puppies and kitties. A huge part of their mission is to shine light on the abuse and exploitation innocent animals endure every day to feed and entertain the masses.
The future for the Vegan Wives is bright, they hope to save as many animals as possible through various channels of awareness. Aside from their social media platforms, they are currently working on a cookbook, starting an animal sanctuary and the launch of their apparel line Lunar Ground on Etsy. Has it been a smooth road?
Since we are essentially just starting out the journey hasn’t hit any major roadblocks as of now.
However, with any business, there are sure to be challenges ahead. We hope to stay positive and keep pushing forward no matter what!

We are most proud to be advocating for what we believe to be the core of veganism, compassion. Saving innocent lives every day just by changing what is on our plates is so simple and so impactful. Something everyone can easily do.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We believe veganism is on the verge of a worldwide explosion. As more and more people become aware of the truth of where their food comes from, the effect its production has on the environment and their health – more and more will make the shift toward a more compassionate and conscious way of life.
