Today we’d like to introduce you to Debbie Wolff.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Debbie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my fitness career in 1980 in NYC with Jacki Sorensen’s Aerobic Dancing. Moving to Los Angeles and finally South Florida I continued with them until the mid-1990’s.
I became nationally certified with NSCA-CPT in personal training while continuing my group fitness career to include Mat and Equipment Pilates, Tae Bo, Spinning, Barre, Tabata Bootcamp, Insanity, P90x to name just a few.
I am a 500hr E-RYT with Yoga Alliance and in 2009 I opened my studio in the back of a physicians office with 300 square feet to spare!
I quickly added spinning and about 50 weekly classes before moving into a new space of 2200 square feet and partnered with Andi Boddie in 2012.Since then we have over 100 group fitness classes with a great variety in our studio space. Our most recent fitness classes with the Water Rower have been extremely successful.
We pride ourselves on being small enough to know everyone and big enough to have a lot of classes with a lot of choices in format.
Has it been a smooth road?
I had a surprisingly easy start, especially in the hard times our country was going through. I opened with a good product and a well priced and valued product.
The struggles along the way were mostly with space..it is a good problem to have too many people and not enough space. Therefore we expanded to our current location
We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are known for our Group Fitness with a Personal TOuch. We pride ourselves on quality of instructor, formats, and friendliness.
We stay on top of current trends in the ever-expanding fitness field, but we have tried and true products that need no change and are the mainstay of any fitness business.
We offer so much variety…you cannot get bored!!
I am proudest of our little space, big membership and the quality we offer to our clientele.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Opening a business is not always easy and there is much more competition now than even 8 years ago. I think everyone deserves a chance to try but there is so much more than opening your doors and saying here I am… I would recommend someone working for another business for several years to learn the art of the business.
Our city, Coral Springs is a very family oriented city. Opening in this area takes knowledge of the demographics. Financial and personal.
