Today we’d like to introduce you to Dave DiBenedetto.
Dave, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started off in around 1999 using donated materials from print shops to create art. One day it struck me that if I bought a plotter it could combine business and a way to create my pieces. Huge light bulb went off!
Using my connections in the local art scene I was able to expand, since then I’ve been able to support and work alongside all my favorite creative people in the industry.
Growing to larger print projects and a larger client base, I was able to learn and master my industry. Now my niche is more along the lines of strong communication with my customers and helping smaller startup businesses grow into more successful ones.
Has it been a smooth road?
Was never exactly smooth, all entrepreneurs have ups and downs. For the first 1-2 years of working my business from home I invested more money into the company and materials then into food and normal lifestyle. It was a rough time, don’t like thinking back that far =)
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Miami Sign Shop – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Miami Sign Shop is a full-service print shop, we can fulfill any order from design to completion. We mostly are known for our sticker products. Being a street artist, I knew all about quality and what a good sticker was. Took me a few years to get it all together, but now I know I produce the longest lasting best quality stickers in town, and quickly! We are proud to have collaborated with and printed for many of the best legendary local artists and have them come back for new work again and again.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Best about our city is the art, food & culture, especially the environmental side. Big hotels that as soon as you walk in the door you feel like you’re on vacation in another town. Also, the number of events that take place here in Miami. You can find something new to do every weekend, like least the heat and traffic.
