Today we’d like to introduce you to Cooper Taylor.
Cooper, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am 11 years old and last year my brother was able to get a job. I wanted to make more money than him and so my dad and I came up with an idea for coops pop tops. All of the money I make I am saving for a car when I turn 16.
I love having my own business. My brothers are jealous. I am making lots of sales and I am going to have a tent at the Juno Beach craft festival in March.
I have been posting videos on Facebook for my sales.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s a lot of work. I stain the boards, my dad cuts the boards and drills the back out. I put the magnets and stickers on the front.
I mail the product with my dad.
Coops Pop Tops – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I make custom Bottle openers with magnets at the bottom. When you open your favorite frosty beverage, the bottle cap will stick on the wooden board. It’s great for bars and garages.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
