Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Hedlund.
Christopher, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
A friend of mine put a camera in my hand at a nightclub I was promoting. I was hooked from day one. Then, after the positive feedback began rolling in from my first set of photos I immediately knew I was onto something and that I had to make this my future career. Jumping feet-first into a new business by yourself, no matter what it is, could be terrifying. I couldn’t believe I was starting a new career in a field that I didn’t know much about. But I was passionate about photography and people really liked my work. So, I knew if I worked hard enough I had all the right elements for success.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Learning to run the business was the most difficult. Learning the craft was the easy part. Learning how to say No to clients that undermine my worth.
Chris HeadShots – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Professional Headshot Photographer. I am known for my headshots seen across people’s social media platforms. Also bus benches, billboards, and Bravo’s Miami Million Dollars Listings star Samantha Debianchi. I am most proud of being able to take photographs of people and get them hired, work, or booked. What sets me apart from other people is quality, being able to coach people and my personality.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
A lot of my clients are now seen on television due to my headshots (Movies, Commercials, Reality TV, etc.).
