Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian de la Huerta.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Christian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My father was a psychiatrist. My degree is in Psychology. I was on track to get a Ph.D., When I discovered breathwork, I jumped tracks and never went for the Ph.D. because it works so fast and heals so profoundly, at some many levels. Almost 30 years later I offer this extraordinary practice all over the world and have yet to come across anything that works as effectively in terms of healing past trauma or releasing suppressed emotional crap. It works, and it works fast, with permanent results.
On top of that, the experience can be profoundly ecstatic, nothing less than life-changing. And yes, I realize this sounds too good to be true, but I can’t argue with results and years of experience. Part of the beauty of this process is how simple and accessible it is. We just breathe, in a certain way for about an hour, and amazing stuff happens. I teach workshops and retreats on conscious relationships that can actually work, on personal empowerment, women’s empowerment, living with purpose. Constant through it all is breathwork.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been challenging times, of course. Like many others, I wondered how I would pay the bills if I followed my soul’s calling. Yet, things always worked out. I have learned that when we come from that place, we are supported. The Universe has a way of aligning and supporting us when we step into our purpose.
As I see it, we are living in critical times; one could say a moment of collective choice. Given what’s at stake, when one of us makes the choice to step up and do something that will help the collective, in terms of fulfilling roles of teachers, healers, or activists for change, the Universe has a vested interest in supporting that.
Please tell us about Soulful Power.
I have been offering personal and spiritual transformational retreats and workshops for almost 30 years now, here in South Florida and all over the world. I take groups to stunning locations like Hawaii, Peru, Southern France, Egypt, and have one coming up in New Mexico this year. These experiences provide profound healing and support participants to liberate themselves, inspiring them to fulfill their potential, step into their power and follow their dreams.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memories from childhood have to be playing with my siblings in Varadero Beach in Cuba, where I lived until age 10. It was a time of innocence, despite the fact that we lived in a Communist, fear-based, totalitarian country and had few toys. We grew up reading, inventing our own games and creating our own past-times. For that, I am deeply grateful…
