Meet Christina Bonner of Chrissy Curls

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Bonner.

Thanks for sharing your story with us . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a young influencer who is passionate about natural hair, self care and sharing my journey as a biracial woman. I love sharing my everyday journey throughout life! I am passionate about food, hair, as
well as animals. My goal is to reach at least one person a day to inspire them to love themselves, their
hair, and those that surround us. When I’m not posting and blogging on my page, I am pursuing my
recently obtained Bachelor’s of Science Degree by working in the medical field.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has definitely not been easy. Sometimes people can be very criticizing, and sometimes out right mean. Aside from other people’s opinions, my own personal struggle has given me a hard time as well. Learning to love my curly hair, incorporating better habits into my life, and adjusting to overall better well being has definitely been a challenge!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I currently blog through YouTube as well as Instagram about natural hair and lifestyle. I have also started my own small business through Etsy, where I hand make headbands that fit comfortable and come in colors that you won’t see in stores! I am most proud of myself for taking this leap to create this business that started as a hobby. Perfecting my headbands has been one of the greatest feelings, aside from seeing/reading the great reviews that my customers have left. I believe that the pure honesty of social media content sets me apart from others. I am always up front about everything I post/talk about. My headbands are different and are catered to those who want comfort and still look/feel great wether its a good hair day or not.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was absolutely obsessed with horses! I loved riding horses on the weekends and spending as much time in the stables back home in Germany. As a teen I enjoyed playing volleyball, as well as playing the violin with my city’s symphony youth orchestra. Now as an adult, I’m passionate about self care, as well as teaching about natural hair and how to take care of it. Sewing is also something that brings me joy.
