Meet Cesar Navarro of Geek Dental Marketing ® in Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cesar Navarro.

Cesar, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
From a very young age, I always wondered why everyone had to follow a system created by others. I was a rebel, not complying with other people. I remember my family bothering me and asking me why I had to ask so many questions when I was told to do something. They thought I was defying them, but I just wanted to find the reason “why.”

As I grew older, during my school years, I had the same problem. I couldn’t adapt to the system created by other people. Teachers would give me the formula to solve an equation, and I would try to prove the formula before solving the equation. I wasn’t great at school, but I was terrific at problem-solving. After school, I decided to join the military. I thought it would be a great way to adapt to the system by force, but I was wrong. In my military years, I learned many skills and read countless books about leadership, psychology, strategy, development, and personal growth. With time, I understood that there were two types of people in this world. The ones who do things as they are told with no questions asked, and the ones who understand why we do them to see if we can do them better.

After my time in the military, over ten years, I decided to work for a dental office as their manager/marketing person. I started understanding why people act the way they do. All my knowledge was from past years started connecting on why I was supposed to be in that position. I understood how the business worked and how to make it grow. I realized why some people proceed with treatments and why some others not. The psychology of the market came naturally to me. The office grew from one single location to five practices, but there was still something missing! I was still working for someone who limited me from creating a better business, a reason how to help others.

After a few years, I decided to resign from my position. I couldn’t take it any longer. I needed to find my “Why.” That is when I decided to create Geek Dental Marketing ®. I had a mission, a goal, a vision on how I wanted to help other dental offices. I didn’t believe in systems or all-fit-one strategies. I made each practice unique! I wanted to create something different for each dentist owning a dental office.

With time, the company grew bigger and bigger, but our mission never changed. My “Why” was more significant, and all our team shared the same vision.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was never smooth! I always had struggles trying to see if it would happen. I was still taking classes at the university, and I didn’t know if everything was going to work out. I spent countless days working throughout the nights. I isolated myself from others, but in a way, it was the right thing to do because I had a vision of where I wanted to be.

Please tell us about your company.
Geek Dental Marketing ® is a full marketing/coaching dental office that helps dentists find a better way to do business. Our marketing company offers many services. From strategic Ad placement, to search engine optimization, to full web design and development, but what sets us apart is the experience we have and that we believe that every dental practice is unique because different individuals own different practices. We get to know you as a person to create a beautiful story on why you do the things you for others.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I believe that every person in this world has an inner light, a gift, an ability to do things differently; Therefore, success, for me, is defined as someone developing their talents to make that inner light glow for others.
