Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Forestier and Severine Meimoun.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is Camille and with my associate Severine we have recently created an Event Company called Event More.
We were both born and raised in Europe. Therefore, we both had to start our career from the beginning when we moved to Miami a few years ago. We faced many challenges, personally and professionally. We met at work and got along very well. I quickly noticed that, even if we do not have the same personality, we have great empathy and share the same passion that drives us everyday.
Having the same values and the same goals, we decided to become associates and that is how Event More was founded.
Our goal is to build amazing relationships with our clients and create events, moments that will be remembered and cherished for a lifetime.
Severine coming from France and myself from Switzerland, we like to say that elegance met precision and it makes us very special.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It is never easy leaving your country and having to start again. You have to make new friends, learn how the system works, be patient and play by the rules.
My husband was also raised in Switzerland but he is American. When I moved to Miami to be with him, we had just found out he had cancer. At the time we were 27 years old and we did not know what was happening. You are never prepared for this kind of news. Being only the two of us (both of our family live in Europe) so far away to fight this battle was a challenge that we conquered together. It was hard but it made me realize that life is really what you make it, you can either fight for what you want and get it or you don’t!
Severine and her husband have been very brave to quit a comfortable life to pursue their American Dream. Indeed they had this will to come to the USA for as long as they have known each other. One day they decided it was time and with their three kids, they finally moved to Miami. It is always challenging with kids as the school system, the social rules and the language are different. In the end, This new adventure made their family stronger and closer together.
Therefore our main professional challenge is to create a brand new network and to build trust in the event industry.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Event More story. Tell us more about the business.
We are specialized in Event planning. We have both worked in an agency before and have therefore managed Events for renowned brands at an International scale. Whether it is a Conference, a product launch, a team building, a wedding, an incentive trip, you name it, we do it!
From our experience, we are quick to adapt to any situation and request. We are very committed and for us, communication and transparency are key to any kind of successful relationship. Of course, we are proud of our roots and the fact that we both speak French, English, and Spanish fluently is a great asset in Miami.
So, what should we be on the lookout for, what’s next in store for you?
Our plan is to spread the word about Event More. Give ourself a chance for people to get to know us and collaborate with us!
We have already worked in all the major American cities so we are ready to plan events nationwide with our local teams of experts.
