Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Napoli.
Brett, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I broke my collarbone at 13 years old, leaving me trapped at home during the summertime without much to do. I started making websites for fun at first, but I eventually created a personal website similar to what we could call a personal blog/daily blog today (before such a thing really existed). The site reached hundreds of thousands of people and brought me some small town notoriety. I had always wanted to start my own business and be an entrepreneur, the Internet seemed like the best opportunity. Developing websites was a passion and a talent for me, and it offered me the flexibility to live a free life exactly how and where I pleased.
Other than developing websites, I’ve introduced several other revenue streams to the business over the years. I built two blogs/online media websites, began investing in domain names, teaching classes and seminars, public speaking, and consulting work on web development, branding, and online marketing. My owned and operated blogs have served over 1/2 a billion ad impressions and each has generated beyond 6-figures in revenue.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, and it likely never will be when you’re challenging yourself. Hiring my first few employees was incredibly difficult. Lots of pressure, managing of people, uncertainty, investment, and training. It was a lot to manage and was one of my greatest challenges so far.
Another challenge has been working with investors and potential partners. It can be really difficult to evaluate how well you’ll mesh with people, especially when each decision is critical to the path forward. Learning the dynamics of working with others at times of high stress can be challenging, and is something I continue to work on today.
Self-awareness and focusing on my strengths has helped me progress the most.

Happiness in life. Life is about happiness, love, relationships, experiences, the cherishing of time and gratitude for living.
I define success by how happy of a life I’ve lived and the impact I’ve had on others throughout my journey. I hope to make an impact and legacy worth remembering. I strive to be remembered as someone who helped and challenged others to succeed, spoke up when it wasn’t convenient and supported loved ones at any and all times.
