We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, I don’t think it has been smooth but blessed for sure. I left my country with 19 years old. I never saw my grandma (second mom) again. I was separated from my family for many years because of political laws. I have being a migrant and that is hard in every country you start a Life. I had to start many times and I think I continue restarting today. I had my first baby, Pablo, in 2002. My mom was in Cuba so, alone in Mexico, I learned to be a mom thanks to magazines, calls and instincts. I lost a baby in 2004. In 2007 I crossed the borders pregnant of my second child, my daughter Camila, I crossed to US because of the insecurity in Mexico (I got some really threatening calls). I had to start working from zero in US one more time.

My parents both of them were in Mexico, finally! Now they needed to do the same to come to US with me. I got divorced in 2010, being practically a mom and dad for my kids all those years, it haven’t been easy but always a big bless. My “not very good looking” English has seem as a big limitation but at the same time, it forced me to be brave and believe in what I have to say instead of how I am going to say it. For four times, I’ve changed my Studio location and I had struggled with many walls that could make me quick but my passion and motivation keep me going forward. I finally closed the studio because I found the house of happiness moves with me everywhere I go. I have to learn a lot yet and despite that, my priority is my family and being a mom, I feel a clear purpose through my work: making the happiness trendy for everyone and make everyone aware of how we can heal through movement with intent. So here we go…

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I have been a Zumba Education Specialist for 15 years. I studied Life Coaching, Reiki and now I learned from the best teacher I could find on this trip: Meenakshy Suri. Writing I am Movement and intention (moving our physical body we are also moving our electromagnetic field and if we are aware of this and we are aware of what part of our body is related to each of our emotions we can increase the results and obtain a balance that will demonstrate by achieving complete well-being.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
