Today we’d like to introduce you to Belen Rodriguez.
Belen is a Human Resources and Employer Branding Professional who partners with CEOs, Executives and Entrepreneurs to grow their professional brand, human-to-human. After spending nearly a decade working in PR and Marketing industry for multi-million dollar brands and startups in Mexico and South America, Belen knows what truly drives conversions, and what truly drives to culture change in the organization.
She knows the results coming from how well you connect with the heart-beating people you’re trying to help and how well you communicate your understanding back to them. Belen has worked with ultra-high-end chain restaurants like Nusr-Et Steakhouse in the US. In addition to her extensive PR and branding experience, Belen is a trained life coach, she loves helping people to achieve their dreams and goals.
Belen holds a BA in communications from Universidad Latino Americana in Mexico City, also holds an SHRM-CP certification that avails her professionalism in her Human Resources arena.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I arrived in the United States in May 2013 and as many immigrants, I came with a lot of dreams but also with a major “language barrier”. I remember myself not being able to say not even one word in English. But this just pushed myself to work harder and learn not only the new language but the culture as well.
I am a mom of two amazing boys, the oldest with ten and my baby with only one-year-old. Definitely making a choice between family and career is something that working moms around the world have to face every day. This becomes especially hard and challenging for us trying to hold both roles. Access to maternity benefits such as maternity leaves, lactation rooms, flexible work hours, and programs that recognize special needs are all helpful in giving working moms the confidence to fulfill their role in the family and continue to become successful in their careers.
I have been very lucky working for companies and leaders that support my mom’s role having the chance to grow within my career.
Please tell us more about your work.
In September 2019 I was appointed to head the Office of Luna Park as the Human Resources Director managing the current HR operations in North America. In this position, I oversee all aspects of human resources management which include such functions as EEO Compliance; Recruiting; Staffing; Classification and Compensation; Benefits Administration, Occupational Health and Medicine, Labor Relations, Change Management and Training and Development for more than 300 active employees and their dependents.
In the same way, an amusement park is a mix of distinctive elements that come together as a whole, Luna Park will also combine distinctive food concepts that sing in perfect harmony to represent the diversity of contemporary Italian food. We offer different concepts like Mercato, Antica Pizzeria, Puros, Osteria No. 0 and the famously known Macellaio.
Macellaio RC is a family of Italian restaurants, each unique but all telling the same story. Warmth is tempered by precision, tradition is brought alive by the company’s vision, creating a wonderful, warm trattoria dining experience. Customers can find fantastic meats including the certified Piedmontese, the delicious healthier beef which claims to have lower cholesterol than Chicken & Salmon! Not only is the meat much lower in fat, cattle are never given antibiotics or steroids. The breed is raised through a ranch-to-fork approach that ensures traceability, environmental sustainability, humane animal handling, and responsible resource management at every step. Our steaks are always sliced in front of customers and artisan bread, focaccia, pizza are cooked in-house by our chefs to reinforce the concept of authenticity.

“The Fastest Way To Achieve Success is To First Help Others Succeed”
Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, ‘What’s in it for me?'” The fact is that our greatest successes in life often come through helping others to succeed, and without question, my definition of success would have to be every time I have the opportunity to help any of my colleagues to achieve their dreams.
