Today we’d like to introduce you to Autumn Markley.
Autumn has been a licensed cosmetologist for over 10 years now. She perfects her skills through constant training courses at Vidal Sassoon academy. She also worked for one of the number one color companies Matrix, as an educator of the state of Florida, for over 4 years. Autumn is a Master colorist and stylist her true passion is specializing in hair extensions. She has over 12 years training with many of the major companies including; Great Lengths, Aqua and Hair Compound to name a few. Autumn has been dual licensed in the state of Florida and New York since 2008. She has worked with New York Fashion Week in 2012 and most importantly she has a passion for the beauty industry and loves what she does every day.
Has it been a smooth road?
I have to say I have been truly blessed and feel that my careers road has been a wonderful learning experience having its challenges at some points but for the most part when you love what you do it flows in a way you just grow in the moment and learn how to adjust. I think the hardest part is the fine balance of where to be that your clients have your full attention and not feel neglected the busier you become over time.

I am proud to say I’m one of the top hair Extension Specialist in Fort Lauderdale that is what most people that google me come in for. I truly have a passion for extensions and building a total new look for someone weather it’s for length, fullness or helping thru a grow out stage that is challenging. Extensions are not just for long hair a lot of my clients wear extensions to fill in thinner areas and create the style and look they love. I’m also a color specialist. Specializing in blondes. I have been known for over 10 years for my natural, bright organic looking blondes. I have clients come from all over the country to have they hair colored. I have trained with some of the best in the industry and love what I do and that is a great combo to set you apart from others.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I love about the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area is the vibe and culture. I have clients from all over the world. We have beautiful people all around us. Coming from all walks of life. I love the energy the city puts off. Keeps you moving and motivated. The only thing I think is hard with the growth of the cities is adjusting to the traffic it’s hard for us locals to embrace the massive expansion of both cities but I think change is good and we will just adjust with all the new and exciting things these cities have in store.

Autumn is quite modest. She is excellent at many things including doing my cut and color. I am growing my hair from a military fade to finally gathering it into a ponytail and Autumn corrected the color and maintains it beautifully. Great fun during the process too!
