Anton Founded Guardian Professional Security in 2005. Since inception, the company has reported consistent increased growth, with each consecutive year surpassing it’s prior. It is now a multimillion-dollar Security Agency with over 100 staff members with offices in Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago and has zero legal judgments in their company’s history. In 2014, Guardian was nominated for Security Company of the Year by Tour Link. Guardian is an accredited business and has earned a continuous A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau since 2010. Guardian will also be a GSA Contract Holder starting in January of 2019. Anton is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security and of the 9 Lives Association.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. In the beginning, I wanted to quit a million times. I believe the mentality of “no plan b” helped get me/us through the tough times. As a new business owner, I thought clients would be as honorable as I was with my debts. I have learned the hard way that many clients will leave you hanging when it comes time to pay. I have lost a lot of money and if I knew then what I know now… I would probably have a much bigger house. ; )
Along with Accounts Receivable (which I think is the hardest thing about running a business)… although over 90% of my staff has worked out great and we have an amazing culture here… there are some bad apples. Sometimes, the ones that you help the most… hurt you the most. Another valuable lesson learned.
Being an entrepreneur is extremely difficult in the early years. According to Inc.com, 95% of businesses fail within the first ten years. As a 14 year entrepreneur… I can definitely see that. It is overwhelming, consuming and you better be willing to risk everything for it if you want to make it.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the GUARDIAN PROFESSIONAL SECURITY story. Tell us more about the business.
Established in 2005, Guardian has been one of the most respected security agencies in the U.S. We specialize in three major security divisions. Commercial/Residential, Concert/Event and Executive Protection (Personal Bodyguards) [as well as several other niche divisions]. Guardian is an industry leader in both Personal Security and Concert/Event Security. With the influx of Residential/Commercial Security needs in the Southeastern U.S., we have focused our attention to this division and have experienced rapid growth since, resulting in our recent opening of a second office in Atlanta, GA as well as a training facility in Dania Beach, FL. With an ever-changing world, the importance of being aware and prepared for the many risks we face is at an all-time high. Guardian has (in-house) State Licensed Instructors, with a combined 65 years of relevant security experience, who teach our guards personally in our new training facility When it comes to the protection of people and property; we believe in the concept of being proactive rather than reactive and know first hand how important training is as it affects the overall performance of the security services provided.

So, what should we be on the lookout for, what’s next in store for you?
We plan on solidifying our Chicago presence as well as increase the amount of Executive Protection clients we currently have. We also have our eyes on a major Miami based venue, arena or stadium. We also look forward to future Government contracts and FEMA based job orders.
