Turning Point was founded by Michelle Montero-Caicedo, LMHC and Anthony, Psy.D. Both partners collaborated and respected each others work while Michelle was the Chief of Clinical Services for OurKids of Miami-Dade and Tony was the Executive Director of Delta Psychological Group. Together, they founded Turning Point Mental Health Center as a Community Mental Health Center with goals of providing high quality mental health services to insurance-based, Medicaid, and Medicare clients. They strive to maintain a well-trained and clinically-sound team of clinicians that treat all clients with the utmost respect and provide beneficial therapy, psychological evaluation, and psychiatric services.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Turning Point was founded on sound business principles and a thoroughly developed business plan. Once implemented, though, the road has not always been smooth. Since our inception, we have encountered an office flood, multiple broken air conditioner units, and obviously the recent hurricane. We have endured countless interviews to assemble our highly trained clinical staff. Though the road has not always been easy, our administrative, clinical, and executive teams have allowed us to continue to grow and serve the clients with whom we work.

At Turning Point Mental Health Center, we have numerous licensed clinicians including psychologists, social workers, a mental health clinician, and a psychiatrist. Our highly trained providers offer specialized services to meet the treatment needs of your clients. Turning Point clinicians are available to go to inpatient psychiatric units to connect clients with outpatient services or to complete psychological assessments at treatment facilities. In regard to age ranges, we have clinicians who specialize in infant mental health and we provide services across age ranges up through the geriatric population.
Some of the services we can provide to your clients include the following:
• Individual and Family Psychotherapy
• Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site Therapy (TBOSS)
• Certified Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
• Biopsychosocial Evaluations
• Psychological Testing including psychoeducational, gifted, and parenting evaluations
• Psychiatric Intake Evaluations
• Medication Management
We currently have offices in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, and will be adding a Palm Beach office in the future. We have the ability to immediately see clients and our standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. We also offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments to fit their varying schedules.
