Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelica Nor.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Angelica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to the USA at age three. My grandfather was a classical violinist and my grandmother, a classical ballet dancer. Since I was a little girl, my mother, who worked as a choreographer in Colombia, gave me my first dance classes and has been my guidance since then.
I have always been interested in the arts and living with my brother, a passionate metal drummer who taught me music theory and introduced me to Goth and Metal Music, which inspired me to become a musician. I then received my first guitar and started classes with Raymond Daniel, an exceptional guitarist who took me under his wing and saw a hidden talent in me. I realized producing and writing music was my passion. My music is mainly inspired by Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Dance, Glitch Hop, and Metal. This combination lays down a path for my aggressive to relaxing music style.
In August 2019, I released my first single, “Trinity Falls,” a dance song about finding yourself. In November 2019, I released my 2nd single, “Seven,” inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins with a video reflecting its mood. Shortly after, my next single was a love song titled “Don’t.”
In 2020 I released my first EP titled “Static Unchanged” this EP was inspired by money, power and morals. My most resent release is a love song titled “Nicotine” with a slow R&B rhythm. Now I spend my time in my home studio recording music videos or writing music.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Up till now, it has been smooth, I love what I do, and I have received a great response from people that hear my music. I still have a long road to walk and fortunately, I have a team of talented artists and creators that have been joining my journey, working with me passionately on all my productions. Creators, dancers, actors, videographers, photographers, editors, fashion and jewelry designers, makeup artists, and media developers collaborate as a family, calling ourselves “Team NOR.”

I am an independent writer, artist, vocalist, and producer. I am proud of my creativity, style, and my drive to make things happen even if it seems out of reach. I have been complimented for my video productions, makeup and wardrobe and the final results of my work set me apart from others.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would not have done anything differently. Things fall into place for a reason and I appreciate the journey, thick or thin.
