Meet Andrea Tavella of Vella Real Estate in North Bay Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Tavella.

Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Born and raised in Lakewood, Colorado. I graduated from Colorado University of Boulder in 2009 with a degree in English. I spent 3.5 more years in Colorado working at a golf course and then managing a start-up company and moved to Miami in 2013 where I began my career in Real Estate. In April of 2017 I started my own brokerage, Vella Real Estate and now I’m learning the ins-and-outs of being a business owner.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think anyone’s road is smooth. I constantly struggle finding my place in an industry that’s incredibly saturated with agents and brokerages. I have to find small ways to motivate myself on a daily basis – my main focus is that I like helping people and I like creating those client relationships. That’s what keeps me going.

Please tell us about Vella Real Estate.
I specialize in golf front, waterfront and luxury properties in South Florida. I’m known for being incredibly honest with my clients. I’m not the Realtor that is going to push someone to buy or sell something if it’s not in their best interest. I also try to help my clients from a very personal perspective- by getting to know them, their goals, what their future plans are allows me to guide them in the right direction. I’m all about transparency and honesty, which I personally think is the most important thing when handling one of the most expensive purchases most people will ever make.

How would you describe the type of kid you were growing up?
I was very active and competitive as a child. I was always playing multiple sports from gymnastics, tennis, swimming, bowling, golf, basketball, and even Karate – there’s a couple embarrassing photos of that out there somewhere.

My main sport that I still play to this day is golf. I began golfing with my family when I was only seven years old and golfed competitively on the Varsity team throughout high school. With that, I’ve been able to combine my passion for the sport into my real estate career by focusing more on golf front properties.

I find that I meet really nice people when you are doing what you enjoy. If in some way that helps grow my business as well then it’s a win-win for me!
