Life & Work with Tacoi Sumler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tacoi Sumler.

Hi Tacoi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Like any great business, CEO. started out as just an idea. Initially, my brother Jonathan Williams (Jay) came up with the idea of creating a brand every individual can relate to: Create Every Opportunity (CEO.). We bought in immediately and decided to release t-shirts to start building awareness.

After receiving so much positive feedback from the community, we decided to move forward with a re-design for our brand, and during the process we came up with our signature logo-designed t-shirts. Other apparel items followed, and that’s how The CEO. Apparel was created.

Now that our apparel line is established, we’re expanding into other realms such as music (CEO. Soundz) and our non-profit organization (The CEO. Unity Foundation).

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing great comes easy. We understood it would be risky, especially with the challenge of working full-time jobs to provide a stable living while at the same time giving your all to your brand, vision, and dream. We’ve encountered many obstacles due to the risks that come along with managing a business, however, each difficulty has made us stronger and wiser as a company.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We would like readers to know our fundamental mission: to inspire others to believe in their potential and achieve success. No matter what the opportunity may be, we encourage individuals to take chances, experience different things, discover what makes them happy, and live their life to the fullest. At the moment we are particularly focused on bringing more awareness to the brand by reaching out to community leaders to work on youth-oriented projects.

What do you think about happiness?
When we think happiness, we think about the impact we have on people’s lives. The fact we can make a difference by giving back and empowering others. These are CEO.’s core values; we love the fact we are all about community, inspiration and empowerment.
