Today we’d like to introduce you to Sadia J.
Sadia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Muse Lovely Chaos, known as “Lovely’s Chaos,” prior was originally created in June 2014 while I was curating my very own open mic. I used to make handmade beaded crystal jewelry with my grandmother from age 11 and since then fell in love with creating original and unique wearable items.
I took a break to rebrand and successfully relaunched in July 2017. Although I am a poet, I chose to not only express myself through words but through wearable items that’ll make you feel cozy and eloquent. I wanted to create a brand that would capture the spirit of expression within every accessory. A retail accessories store catering to almost every personality.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has indeed been bumpy! Although I love being an entrepreneur, it absolutely comes with many, many trails and tribulations. Imposter syndrome sneaks up often. I have second-guessed designs and almost didn’t released them because I was afraid my audience wouldn’t like it. Sometimes your audience changes, and you have to grow with the current times. Sometimes orders don’t come through for a month plus then boom, you have 35 orders in a week! And oftentimes, you are in charge of creating the content, running social media, dropship, bookkeeping, all while combing through one million emails and packing orders. But through all the ups and downs, I push through, with a matcha latte in my hand, of course.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a creative, a curator and an engineer! Everything I do ties those three titles into one. I am a woman of many hats. I am a writer/poet. I specialize in social media marketing. I am known mostly for my poetry, content creation and blogs. I am most proud of my brands Muselovelychaos.com and my girl boss community GODDESS FLOW NYC. I believe what sets me apart from others is my passion, the love I put into everything I do and most of all, my way with words.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The qualities and characteristics I feel is most important to my success? Transparency, passion, being able to adapt to changes quickly, ambition and most importantly, being original.
