Thanks for sharing your story with us Sisther. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up in Miami, I always knew I was a bit different than everyone else around me. I started developing psychic abilities as a child, for example I would have premonitions dreams. I would mention it to my mom but she thout “Ella esta loca”. So, on my own, I started doing research and reading about dreams. Then I started seeing spirits of all kinds, so again research. As I got older, I kept gaining new clairvoyant abilities. My favorite being the tarot. When I started practicing tarot I was a student at the Miami International University of art and design for photography, but I knew deep down I just wanted to be a real down ass Bruja. So, I left school, practiced my psychic powers and once I felt 100, I started my tarot business.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At first, it wasn’t just because I was scared to say yes to my purposes in life. Once I accepted my truth everything started falling into place for me. My advice would be to say yes! Say yes to what your gut and heart tell you every day because I know every day, that passion will be screaming at you to “ponte las pilas”. To my ladies, I just want to say be very strong and keep that fire burning! Right now, we’re all in a big shift that’s going to be more equal but in the meantime stand up for what you believe in and let no one tell you no.
Please tell us about The Tarot Queen: La Bruja del 305.
I’m known to be la Bruja del 305 that means being really real when I give a tarot reading. What sets me apart from others is during my sessions I tell my clients what the messages are and more importantly what is helping them, what is blocking their path and how you can persevere the issue at hand. Most people won’t give you all that info. For now, I mostly specialize in tarot reading, but I’m still learning new techniques like Oracle reading, love spells and dream work so I can progress even more. I’m mainly proud at myself for standing up and remaining true to myself but still keeping that Miami spice in me.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
I think an issue we can focus on as women is to keep the faith and don’t let anyone stop you. If you look at the numbers women entrepreneur are actually leading the way over our male colleagues. The numbers don’t lie mama. So, it comes down to faith. How much do you really believe in yourself and how much energy do you use to focus on positive feedback or negative behaviors from others. So, once again please keep the fire burning!
