Today we’d like to introduce you to Simona DeLucia.
Hi Simona, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am the owner and founder of theVIPinjector. I was born and raised in the Czech Republic, I came to the United States when I was 18 years old, I speak five languages but I have spoken very little English. My parents always told me if you work hard and put your mind into something, you can accomplish anything. So first I enrolled myself in ESL classes and started learning English, I knew I always wanted to be a Nurse because I truly love to help people. I have enrolled myself in pre-requisite classes at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and I have found my passion for psychology, my teacher actually changed my mind and I have switched my major from Nursing to psychology and graduated with a degree in Psychology. After I graduated, I was thinking what am I doing I want to be a nurse? So I have enrolled in the Nursing program, it was not an easy road, and I was told that I will never make it because English is my second language.
Well, four years later I have graduated from Sacred Heart University Summa cum laude with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. I have started working as a Trauma Nurse and Psych Nurse. After many years in the Emergency Department, I have started pursuing my interest in aesthetics and decided to apply for a job in a plastic surgery. I started working alongside top cosmetic and plastic surgeons in South Florida and decided to pursue higher education. I went back to school and received a Master’s Degree in Nursing, I also became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Master Injector and Advanced Cosmetic Trainer in the state of Florida. After working for other Medspas in the area, I have decided to pursue my dream and opened my business TheVIPinjector Wellness & Aesthetic boutique health practice in Davie, FL where the goal is for women to fall in back in love with themselves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road, I had to spend a lot of years in school and gain the experience to make me who I am today. I was told many times you can’t do this or that, for an example, I was told I can never find a job in plastic surgery because I am a trauma nurse and not OR nurse but that just pushed me harder because if people tell me I can’t do something, I am unstoppable and keep my eye on my goals. I also knew nothing about starting my own business and be an entrepreneur. I bought lots of books and read and read and read, I connected with people who were in the business industry and asked for suggestions and help. I was fortunate enough that I had a lot of people who were rooting for me and wanted to see me succeed. I am a very positive person and I believe that you get what you attract.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have opened my practice to help women to fall back in love with themselves, I feel that we are so busy in our daily lives taking care of everyone else but forget about ourselves. I work very closely with my clients to help them achieve their desired look and improve their health. I believe that when you feel good on the inside, you will feel good on the outside; everything comes in full circle. I have one on one approach and everyone is my VIP. I offer a variety of services from weight loss, peptide and HRT therapy, holistic health, sexual and mental health, vitamin injections and aesthetic services such as botox, fillers, PRP injections and PDO threads.
I am known for my unique eye for facial symmetry and I have successfully mastered the art of achieving natural treatment outcomes for my patients. I absolutely love creating lips, I feel it’s a work of art. I have trained with many famous injectors and took a little bit from each and developed my own technique. I am also known for creating a natural look, my goal is for my patients to look rejuvenated like they just returned from an awesome vacation because at the end of the day they are walking around with my work on their faces.
I take my time with each client, I find it important to educate my patients with different treatment options to identify the patient’s desired look and I do create an individualized, customized plan for each patient. I work closely with my patients to find areas of improvement through aesthetic, holistic and traditional medicine. I love what I do. I can save your life and make you beautiful at the same time.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My biggest cheerleader is my husband Dave and my kids Michaela and Luca. My husband who owns his own Home Remodeling company is the one who really pushed me to become a business owner and do what I love. TheVIPinjector is my 3rd child and my two kids are there for me every step of the way. My son Luca has a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing so he helps me a lot with my website and social media. My daughter has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Pre-med and is currently finishing a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in the University of Miami, she helps me with the administrative work and is my assistant when needed. I am also a big fan of Mel Robbins and I do practice the High 5 Habit every day; she motivates me daily
