Today we’d like to introduce you to Myrlande Simeon.
Myrlande, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a Miami native by way of my Haitian parents. I have over ten years of experience in the financial space as VP at one of the major financial institutions in the country. My love for entrepreneurship has led me to helping other small business owners. I have always known my dream was to become an entrepreneur. Having owned a cosmetic company, clothing boutique and an event management business, I knew business ownership was always my dream. Growing up in the inner city of Miami, it was not easy but my mother always taught me that I can do whatever I put my mind to as long as I believe I can do it. During the pandemic, I realized so many businesses were not prepared for the unforeseen tolls on how the pandemic would impact their business. At which point, I decided to launch Lande Brand Consulting to help them navigate through the day to day and help structure and put a plan in place for their business success.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been easy. I have had to start stop and restart again. Being a black woman in male-dominated industry, juggling motherhood and my career has had many challenges. I have made mistakes in the past that cost me both financially and cost me a lot of time. I continue to have to prove myself for myself and work 3x as hard. There has been times where I felt like I have failed and wanted to give up but then I realized that I am resilient and I have my two beautiful daughters that look up to me to be the change they want to see.

I own a company called Lande Brand Consulting which is a firm that focuses on business start-up and development.
We provide small business owners with the tools and resources to assure that their business is properly structured from the inception. We help with business development, branding, marketing and help businesses obtain capital to help grow their business.
Lande Brand Consulting has grown company revenue for our small business clients by 27% and have now expanded into new markets.
Lande Brand Consulting puts on a quarterly networking event called “The Boss Up Brunch” that allows businesses to network and grow their knowledge by obtaining information from other successful entrepreneurs providing insight on their path to success.
I am extremely proud to be in the position to help small businesses that may feel that there isn’t an outlet for them to receive the proper tools to help them down the path to success. My goal is to assure all business owners that they can win with the right accountability partner with us at Lande Brand Consulting.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the key lessons I have learned is that consistency is key. In order for other people to believe in your brand you must put in the work and believe in yourself. I know my calling is to help people and I am hoping I am blessed to continue in this journey as I also grow and learn from experiences.
