Daily Inspiration: Meet Wini Alvarez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wini Alvarez.

Hi Wini, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Greetings with a smile!

I’m Winiela Alvarez, a passionate and creative soul hailing from Venezuela and currently residing in the USA since 2009. I’m a fashion designer by career with a deep love for nature, art, and sustainable fashion. From a young age, I spent countless hours with my mom learning about botanical recipes, baking, drawing, cooking, sewing, and designing to my dolls and my own outfits. Creativity runs in my blood, inspired by my skilled seamstress and artist mother and grandmother.

Over the years, I’ve pursued and studied various things, honing my skills in the arts. I’ve worked as a model, voiceover artist, and actress, and have had the opportunity to work in film and television. However, during the recent pandemic, I found a new calling as a beauty influencer, known as the “queen of the rice mask” on TikTok, where I share my natural beauty tips and DIY remedies.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Despite facing challenges along the way, I’ve always been determined and optimistic. Moving to a new country and leaving loved ones behind was a difficult adjustment, but I persevered, working hard to learn English and adapt to a new culture while pursuing my dream of earning a degree in fashion design. My faith has been a strong shield, guiding me through tough times.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for beauty and self-care content, with a specialty in natural and homemade remedies, like the famous rice mask.
Now, I have a tiktok community of almost 2 million women from all over the world who follow my value-driven content and use my homemade recipes, including my flagship product, a CAPILAR CRONOGRAM, which helps to repair damaged hair and take care of the skin. I’m grateful for this opportunity to inspire and help women, and I’m constantly looking to strengthen my voice and create a legacy through my own natural cosmetics line and brand.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I owe much of my success to the support of my loving family, especially my unbreakable bond with my husband. I’m also thankful for my manager, Mel, who has been there for me every step of the way, and my friends and community, who have believed in me and supported me wholeheartedly. Their unwavering support has been invaluable to my journey.

At last but not least, to me, becauseI have not stopped listening to my gut feelings, trusting in God’s grace and in my ability to adapt and reinvent myself.
