Daily Inspiration: Meet Matana Organics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matana Organics. Them and their team share their story with us below:

As a child many of us watched our mother use holistic ways to solve the most common beauty frustrations. From exfoliating dry skin with honey + brown sugar masks, to soothing her eyes with green tea bags. We learned at a young age that what we need to nourish our skin is provided by nature. Fast forward to our own story as moms and how we finally found a way to make our skin glow, we felt inspired to share our path with others that were struggling with the changes that pregnancy and postpartum can create. So, after careful research and with the help of skincare experts and organic chemists, our first product came to life. A simple, clean, and organic Stretch Mark Oil that leaves your skin hydrated without the greasy residue most oils leave behind. And with other formulations in the works, we are excited about providing plant-based, organic beauty products that nurture the skin the way Mother Nature intended.

Where are you today?

The brand is hyper-concentrated in dealing with pre –  and postpartum women’s beauty and wellness needs. In a world saturated with beauty products that cater to young skin or aged skin, it is indeed a rarity to bump into companies that make concerted efforts at pregnancy-friendly skincare.  So far, we have maintained our zeal to be outstanding despite our setback last year, when one of our Co-founders decided to step down for personal reasons. Notwithstanding, we are back and better.  Matana Organics is now family-owned and operated.

We appreciate the love and trust our customers have towards us. We promise to maintain an honest relationship between our clients and us continually, and to continue forging ahead without any form of compromise.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

As a small business, going through a pandemic was the most challenging time we ever faced since starting Matana. We had no other choice but to stay laser focused and push through what seemed like an insurmountable task. One important lesson we have learned through pandemic is that having an excellent support system and community is invaluable.

Community and a tribe are so important for entrepreneurs. Which is why we would like to use this oppertunity to shoutout HeyMama Co., a network of working mothers who provide support, guidance and tools for working mothers. It really does require a tribe to succeed, and we are still growing, learning, and expanding.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The behind-the-scenes story of Matana Organics products is simple – Mom to mom, we believe through a skincare transition, women can feel empowered to easily take care of themselves and be more confident. We crafted luxurious, feel-good, skincare for all skin types and at any phase of motherhood to create special moments for themselves and hone in on self-care practices. All formulations are plant-based, organic, and free of all the bad stuff (parabens, phthalates, sulfates, fragrances, etc.).

Our products make it easy to give yourself worry-free “you time” to recharge. We believe in crafting skincare that doesn’t have a long list of ingredients, where safety is a standard, not a luxury, and every mama feels pampered each time she reaches for a little Matana.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
The clean beauty revolution has gained immense traction in the last few years, and we are so proud to share our newfound diversification of the brand to TheTotAnthropologie, and Bohemian Mama. Since our launch in 2019, our products was available for purchase only on our website www.matanaorgnics.com. But, a new year calls for a new move, and our brand is all set to multiply its reach and cater to the needs of thousands of expecting women, mothers, and likewise globally. Matana in Hebrew means gift. As Matana evolves, this gift remains a part of our brand to the mothers we nourish. Simple, Plant-Based, Safe and Organic Always.
