Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Chadwick.
Hi Blake, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Started announcing in southeastern Virginia at age 18, about six weeks removed from high school graduation. Have since worked in 15 states doing play by play commentary, ring announcing, interviewing, and hosting. This stretches across all combat sports as well as high school and professional basketball and football.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not! Broken promises, low pay, politics, the list goes on and on. Keeping my head up every day and pushing forward have been the keys to survival.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a sports broadcaster. My energy and consistency and overcoming any adversity thrown my way.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being able to perform in my element.
