Daily Inspiration: Meet Alexis Warren

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Warren.

Hi Alexis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, my name is Alexis Warren,

I am 23 years old and was born and raised in South Florida.

Growing up, I enjoyed watching HGTV shows like

“My First Renovation,” “Property Brothers,” “Flip or Flop,” and “Love it or List.” I have a passion for helping others and seeing the smile on their faces because of my help. From then on, I knew that coming into the Real Estate business would be the perfect match for me.

Back in May 2019, when I lived in Tallahassee, I joined a free seminar hosted by a company named Fortune Builders. I gained more knowledge about Real Estate by attending. That’s when I decided to return to my hometown and get my Real Estate Agent license.

During that journey, I had to stop doubting myself, and I stepped out on faith. By March 2022, I took my state exams. I failed my state exams the first time. I told myself, “I got this, and don’t give up, keep going, Alexis.” I started studying more and reviewing each chapter I struggled on. I took the exams again and passed it on my second try. I am now licensed as a Real Estate Agent and am scornful of myself and my dedication.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I love a challenge, but it has been a little struggle for me along the way. It took me two years to get my license. In 2020, my grandmother passed away, who raised me. I was in depression mode. I lost focus on my dreams and procrastinated. I always knew I would be star. I had to dig myself out of that feeling and change my mindset and environment. Real estate is not all about selling, flipping, buying, or investing in a home. You also need to know about the laws and the Real Estate market. I knew at that time I needed a team and to hang my license with a broker. I joined Keller Williams Realty.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I appreciate helping people. I assist buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. Some of my main responsibilities include: Planning and attending open houses.

Setting up and showing appointments with potential buyers.

Using the multiple listing service to find or list homes.

Researching sale prices of comparable properties and oftentimes using the sales comparison approach (SCA) to estimate a home’s value.

Scheduling home inspections and appraisals.

Completing the paperwork for offers or purchase agreements.

Sending information to the lender required for the mortgage.

I adore being a Real Estate Agent. I can meet new people, travel, and satisfy my clients with their beautiful home, while helping them in their home journey and having their process as smooth as possible. My passion for this sets me apart from others.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Some people don’t know when I was a one-month baby. My parents got incarcerated, so my grandmother took me in and raised me all the way up into her transition. We were going through financial hardship, which we had to live in an RV trailer for a while until my grandmother could get into her home again. Staying inside that RV trailer, I kept saying “I can’t wait until we move in our home, Grandma.” She was touched by that, and then in a few weeks, we moved inside our home.
