Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Reyes.
Hi Alexandra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Prior to being a real estate agent, I handled disbursements for closings both commercial and residential for many years. I started in real estate as a coincidence after I had already registered to do my MBA.
Life took an unexpected turn and it presented me with an opportunity to start in real estate instead of my MBA. After taking the course and what I had learned from working with the transactions; I knew I had a lot to offer in the transactions I would handle.
Helping buyers and sellers achieve their goal with any real estate need whether is for relocation, downsizing their home, upgrading, or even acquiring a second home is rewarding.
Attending real estate seminars and networking events provides me with market insight, trends any new information that is up and coming that is relevant to better assist with a transaction.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the beginning of being an agent, it has its challenges of getting hold of how things was like in all new positions or career changes.
The challenges just motivated me to push forward. Hosting open houses was new to me and I knew learning was best to get involved. A fellow realtor helped me by giving me the opportunity as she had an emergency and she needed me to cover the open house for her. It was great.
During Covid was a challenge as everyone was trying to adjust to the new normal during that time. Many sellers wanted a limited amount of people during a showing because of the exposure to the virus. A lot of showings were done virtually.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have assisted First time home buyers and most of the time they have questions that come up during their first year. One of my buyers needed extra hands to help with the move. I was there to help.
In one of my last transactions in which I represented the seller; there was an error that I caught before closing which was going to cause the seller another several thousand dollars. Given my prior knowledge of handling closings, I was able to spot the mistake.
I love to help along the way in what I am able to and see that all is smooth for all parties involved.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Handling unexpected and challenging circumstances in the transitions and being able to stay focused.
