Today we’d like to introduce you to Laetitia C “Amazed By Lala Studios”.
Hi Laetitia C, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I’ve always felt like art was a part of me. Since my childhood, I’ve been interested in art such as drawing, painting, beauty, etc…. I’ve been doing makeup professionally for almost a year now but I can really say that I’ve been doing makeup since I was about 13 years old. I woke up one day and said to my best friend as I was on the phone with her: “I want to be a makeup artist”. Ever since that day, I never gave up. I’ve been practicing almost every day, trying to perfect my craft, learning new techniques because I knew this is what I wanted to do, what I LOVE to do. My passion. Making women feel more beautiful than they already are, their reaction after I’m done glamming them up is just priceless to me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A smooth road? Definitely not. In anything that you partake in life is never going to be easy. Especially as a freelance Makeup Artist. The art side of it is on you as well as the business side of it, and that could be overwhelming. From saving up to get my kit ready to any client of any skin complexion, type, etc… took me a while but I never gave up. I knew that I was going to eventually start one day and so I did!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Makeup Artist. Specializing in Natural, Soft, and somewhat Full Glam looks. When clients come to me, they always tell me how professional I am and the business. They love how they can easily reach out to me any time when inquiring or booking a glam. I also take pride in providing a luxury experience for them because why not? When they come in, they always tell me how they love the vibe, the experience all together and how sanitary the process was as well. Giving my clients a clean and nicely organized space to be in is what truly proud of.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I like staying in South Florida, Broward to be specific. As we all do. I love the weather, the fun spots, the nightlife which benefits my career. Love the fact that the opportunities to become something here is just endless. All together it feels great to be here. What I’d say I dislike is traffic sometimes.
