Community Highlights: Meet Sandra Jacquemin of STARSOUL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Jacquemin. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Twenty years as a marketing leader, promoting some of the industry’s greatest box office releases, sneakers, and beverages, introducing the NBA and NFL’s first franchise DJs, and taking on a male-dominated racing industry.

Sandra continues her marketing consulting while partnering with her husband to launch the first charity t-shirt subscription during the pandemic seeking to set an example for their son and change the world.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth, of course, deciding to launch during the pandemic came with challenges but we decided to turn those challenges into opportunities. We hired anyone and everyone who had been furloughed or otherwise lost their jobs due to the COVID pandemic. We took volunteers as our models and help to get things going. We designed everything in-house (and continue to do so).

From one minute to the next, businesses we had contacted to print shirts or do some work had disappeared, no longer in business. We finally got a wonderful group of small businesses, moms, and military-owned (like us) to work with our needs.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about STARSOUL?
We created STARSOUL for everyone and anyone who is passionate about changing the world for the better. This does not stand on either side of politics or anything like that. We purely are driven by causes and the people behind organizations trying to do their part to make the world better.

We use t-shirts as the vehicle to fundraise and raise awareness for causes every single month, highlighting a different cause. June is our Alzheimer’s and brain health month and then we lead right into child hunger in July.

Every month our subscribers receive a cool t-shirt that has a message that resonates, just like a cool graphic tee you might buy in a store, only ours do something other than just have a neat design or message – they donate all of the proceeds to charities and people changing the world.

Autism Wish, for example, was started by an autistic mom who has two autistic children and they work to provide toys and items to autistic children in need. Our shirt in April for Autism was designed by JJ, a South Florida native, 6 years old living with Autism and he created such a beautiful design it deserved its little collection on our site. see more at officialstarsoul.com.
